Beverly Hensley began Stephen’s-Ministry, Inc. as a way to begin the healing process from the loss of her 19-year-old son in 2008. It started with journaling, posting to social media and over the years it has grown into what it is today. God has a plan. Her career began in nursing and in 2009 she transitioned to mental health, working in crisis. Beverly has worked crisis triage, crisis units, inpatient, detox, and continued working in the Jails until 2018. During this time, she began to work with her church to develop what now is SMI. Beverly worked along Dr. Vani and Dr. Marshall Xaiver, obtaining her Doctor of Divinity, Board certification of Professional Pastoral Counselors, State Certified Peer Specialist, Certified Genesis Counselor, Ordained Minister, Life Coach. She is currently seeking her Masters in Mental Health with Substance Abuse diseases. The past 2 years she has worked with the TN mental health and drug awareness faith-based community, where her church is a recovery congregation. She has served on the Board of Directors, and Advisor Board for other nonprofits. Beverly has over 30 years in Ministry as a pastor's wife, working with youth and children to include CASA. “Even though you have experienced trauma, you can move forward with your life. You can grow, become resilient, and have a meaningful life. Your life does not end because of trauma.” Beverly is a living Testimony!

Angelique Brooke Hensley Lackey is married to Josh Lackey. They have two boys: Ezekiel Joshua and Stephen David. Angelique, commonly called Anjelika, is the younger sister of Stephen Hensley. They were raised to seek God and ministry. They shared a very strong bond as brother and sister. He was her protector, her friend, her big brother.
She started in church ministry at a young age—singing in the children’s choir, performing solos, attending church camps and youth groups, and helping with outreach.
She attended South Haven, Caywood, and Lexington Christian Academy. She was active in volleyball during her middle school and high school years. She graduated from Gateway Homeschooling with honors while completing dual enrollment at Jackson State in general studies.
Anjelika volunteered as a teacher at Rainbow Camp for children. She also completed an internship at the WTHC Rainbow Center for special needs children. During this time, she pursued her certification and associate’s degree in Master Training and Nutrition through ISSA. She trained at Anytime Fitness, Planet Fitness, and Pulse Fitness. Additionally, she worked in law enforcement as a correctional officer.
In the early part of her career, she worked in crisis triage, inpatient care, and CSU as a mental health technician. She obtained her license in phlebotomy through UT Martin and worked at the Jackson Clinic North. While managing these responsibilities, she began attending Bethel University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
She owned and operated her own business for a few years. During that time, she obtained her CPRS and assisted her family in developing Stephen’s Ministry. She is currently enrolled at Liberty University, working toward her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a certification in Marriage and Family Counseling from Light University through the Dr. James Dobson program.
Currently, she is the office manager for SMI. She assists with the development of the CPRS program and is involved in many aspects of SMI.
Anjelika, along with her family and Patrick, works to develop and expand SMI into other rural areas where help is greatly needed. Her plans are to grow into a more defined leadership role, to learn more about the community and its needs, and to continually educate herself on new developments and the ever-changing needs of those she serves. Her main goal is to follow the will of the Lord, learn from Patrick and others, and eventually become the Director and CEO of SMI.
